A few things about this
receiver....
This unit is imported from the
Netherlands and is a Great Unit for the Price. Just
last year the only other option was to get an
unfriendly commercial rack mount unit for around
2,500.00 and yet another unit to receive High
Definition feeds for around another 1,000.00.
The receiver has a 1 Year
Warranty. I have been selling this unit since March
2005.
The receiver will not allow
you to Edit or Rename Satellites or Channels. You
cannot do manual input of PIDs. All of the North
American Satellite names are not in the memory, but I
do not find this to be an issue, as the unit has 4
universal names, Satellite 1, 2, 3 and 4 that can be
used. I set up the receiver with Satellite 1 for
C-Band and Satellite 2 for Ku-Band.
Most of the High Definition
feeds on satellite are in 4:2:0 HD and the receiver
plays these feeds excellently. There are some 4:2:2
HD feeds and the receiver puts a greenish flashing
horizontal line across the bottom of the screen,
about 1 inch tall. On some HD TV sets, they have a
Zoom feature and you can zoom in enough so you do not
see the line. Quali-TV is aware of this issue and has
the data stream, but as of yet, they have not
released a software version that will fix it.
I hook the receivers up first
and make sure they work. I also load the latest
software into the receiver and do a basic Pre-Program
of the unit to make it easy to set up and use
quickly!
Overall, I still find this to
be an EXCELLENT Receiver and am Very Happy to Have
and Use it myself and to be able to offer it to my
Friends and Customers at a Great Price!
